Abstract (en)
A flood defence barrier comprises a reinforced panel (3) including a sheet of foamed material (7) having a protective layer (9) applied to each major face thereof. A frame (5) surrounds the periphery of the panel and is secured to the panel in a watertight manner. At least one handle (11) is provided in an edge region of the panel. A seal (13) is secured to the frame and extends at least along an edge of the frame opposite to the edge region including the handle for sealing with a surface extending substantially perpendicular to a major face of the panel.
