Abstract (en)
The vacuum pump (1) has a pump flange (4) connected with a counter flange (2). The pump flange is arranged on a housing (6). A protective cover is associated with a suction hole (5) and arranged on a pump flange side, which is averted from the housing. A damping element is arranged on a side of the protective cover, where the protective cover side is outwardly extended in a radial direction. A conical surface is defined on the protective cover. The pump flange is formed with a groove for receiving a seal.

Die Erfindung betrifft Vakuumpumpe (1) mit einem Gehäuse (6), einer Ansaugöffnung (5), einem schnell drehenden Rotor (12) und einem mit einem Gegenflansch (2; 2'; 2") verbindbaren Pumpenflansch (4; 4'; 4"), welcher am Gehäuse vorgesehen ist. Um die Sicherheit der Flanschverbindung in einem Fehlerfal zu erhöhen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass auf der dem Gehäuse abgewandten Seite des Pumpenflansches ein der Ansaugöffnung zugeordneter Kragen (40; 40'; 40") angeordnet ist.
