Abstract (en)
The simulation device has a projection device for formation of images of flames (F1-F3) or a portion of the flames and for projecting the images on projection surfaces (30-32). The projection device comprises image generation units (23-1-23-4) with projection masks for generation of the images of flames through exposure of light. A control unit comprising a memory device controls spatial and/or temporal behavior of the light and imaging behavior of individual projectors or individual light sources (21-1-21-3) i.e. LEDs, of the projectors. An independent claim is also included for a method for optical simulation of chimney fire.

Vorgeschlagen wird eine Vorrichtung (1) zur optischen Simulation eines Kaminfeuers. Die Vorrichtung (1) weist eine Projektionseinrichtung (20) und eine Projektionsfläche (30, 31, 32) auf, wobei die Projektionseinrichtung (20) dazu ausgebildet ist, ein Bild einer Flamme oder eines Teils einer Flamme zu erzeugen und zur optischen Abbildung auf die Projektionsfläche (30, 31, 32) zu projizieren, und wobei die Projektionseinrichtung (20) zur Bilderzeugung eine Bilderzeugungseinrichtung (23, 23-1, ..., 23-4) nach Art eines Dias aufweist, durch welche das Bild durch Belichten erzeugbar ist.
