Abstract (en)
The present invention provides a method for verifying a secure document (2) of a bearer, said secure document (2) comprising identity information and an embedded electronic component comprising means for storing identity information of a bearer, said method comprising the following steps: a) selecting an area on the document, b) capturing an image of the selected area, c) processing the captured image to obtain identity information, d) extracting identity information stored in said embedded chip, e) comparing identity information extracted from said captured image and identity information stored in the electronic chip, f) signaling the counterfeiting of the secure document if step d) fails.
