[origin: WO2010000405A1] The invention relates to a method for imprinting printing paper (2) off the reel with a decor comprising at least one decor image for use on flat components, particularly for floor, wall, ceiling or furniture applications, wherein a predetermined print image is specified on a paper section (3, 4, 5) of the printing paper (2) with a predetermined length smaller than 5 m. In order to provide a cost-effective printing method, the invention provides for the printing paper (2) to be imprinted by a digital printing device using a digital printing method and the paper section (3, 4, 5) following the paper section (3, 4, 5) to comprise another, further decor image than the decor image of the previous paper section (3, 4, 5).
