[origin: WO2009143853A1] The roller shutter (1) comprises a top element (2) including a roller bar (24), and a shutter body (5) including a plurality of slats (51). The shutter body is adapted to be rolled up on and unrolled from the roller bar, the roller shutter furthermore comprising a driving device (10) including a driving means and a driving element (11). The driving element for unrolling and rolling up of the shutter body (5) is a belt, which is either provided with teeth or a plurality of recesses and/or apertures, and the driving means (101, 102) interact with the belt at or in the top element (2). All of the slats (51) are connected to the belt (11).
