[origin: EP2295306A1] The installation has an actuation and calculating unit (44) connected to an antenna (32). Telegram generation units of a coder generate a stop type telegram compatible with European train control system (ETCS)standard when an embarked device (31) is in a ETCSlevel zero mode and if side indication equipment (10, 110) i.e. traffic lights, are in a stop state. The telegram contains a stop parameter. The actuation and calculating unit interprets the parameter as a triggering command of braking of a train (2) when the embarked device remains in the mode. An independent claim is also included for a method for braking a train circulating along a track.
