Abstract (en)
The device has a capture component generating video images of a portion of a field of vision, and a sensor i.e. millimetric radar, located in front of an aircraft (10) for capturing an image of the field of vision during poor visibility conditions. An extraction component extracts contours of video images to delimit shape included in each video image. A head up display generates and displays a symbology for generating information representing symbols intended to aid piloting, where the symbols comprising landing aid information are generated based on the contours of the shape. An independent claim is also included for a landing aid method for an aircraft.

Le dispositif d'aide à l'atterrissage pour aéronef comprend : – des moyens de génération d'images vidéo d'une portion du champ de vision, le dispositif comprenant un capteur situé devant l'aéronef destiné à la prise de vue lors de mauvaises conditions de visibilité ; – des moyens d'extraction de contours de l'image vidéo permettant de délimiter au moins une forme connue dans une zone du champ de vision du dispositif optique ; – un premier afficheur, dit "tête-haute", dont la zone d'affichage occupe une portion de la visière du cockpit ; – des moyens de génération d'une symbologie générant des informations représentant des symboles destinés à l'aide au pilotage s'affichant en superposition du paysage extérieur. Il caractérisé en ce qu 'au moins un premier symbole comprenant des informations d'aide à l'atterrissage est généré à partir des contours détourés de l'image vidéo et affiché sur l'afficheur en superposition du paysage extérieur.
