Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009143955A1] The invention relates to a mixing system comprising a disposable container having flexible walls and a mixing device for one-time use. Known mixing systems comprise complex seals of the through opening of the mixer shaft. The novel mixing system aims to solve this problem of cost and safety in an advantageous manner. The mixing system according to the invention consists of at least a disposable container (1) having flexible walls and a mixing device which comprises at least an encapsulated drive (5) and a mixer shaft (3), wherein the drive (5) can be disposed of together with the mixer shaft (3) and the disposable container (1) after use. The mixing system according to the invention is preferably used in biotechnology and in the pharmaceutical industry for the mixing of liquids, the dissolution of solids or the multiplication of cells and microorganisms.
