[origin: WO2010003483A1] The invention relates to a method for cutting through a banderole (11) encompassing a stack (10) of blanks, wherein the banderole (11) cut through and subsequently removed from the stack of blanks (10), preferably in the area of a banderole station (19), by a cutting tool, particularly a knife (23). According to the invention, the stack of blanks (10) is pressed together such that the banderole (11) is separated from the stack of blanks (10), at least in segments, and the banderole (11) is then cut through by the cutting tool in the separated area. The invention further relates to a corresponding device for said purpose.
