Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010007104A1] The present invention relates to a scissor car jack comprising a spindle (1), a base (15), a support head (16), a traverse (6) and a spindle support (8) having a hole with an inner threading for holding the spindle (1), wherein the base (15) and support head (16) are rotatably connected to the traverse (6) and the spindle support (8) by way of a respective support arm (10, 11, 12, 13), and wherein the support arms (10, 11, 12, 13) are connected with one another in the area of the base (15) and the support head (16) and/or in the area of the traverse (6) and the spindle support (8), and the spindle (1) is coupled to the traverse (6) and the spindle support (8) so that when the spindle (1) is rotated, the distance between the spindle support (8) and the traverse (6) can be changed. The length of the support arms (10, 11 and 12, 13) can be changed telescopically and can be locked in the extended state by way of locking pins (14) so that the scissor car jack can be collapsed into a smaller volume, in particular for purposes of stowage.
