[origin: WO2009147140A1] The invention relates to a synthetic fiber rope with a coupling element for transferring a shifting force onto a shifting part to be attached to the rope by way of the coupling element, wherein the coupling element (3, 4, 5, 6, 6', 7, 8, 9, 9') is attached to the rope (1) as a separate element from the rope (1). In the process, the coupling element (3, 4, 5, 6, 6', 7, 8, 9, 9') grips at least partially into the interior of the rope (1) and reaches behind rope components (14, 14a, 14b, 15) there made of synthetic fibers.
