[origin: EP2299458A2] The solenoid (1) comprises an armature supported in an armature space (300). The armature space is encircled by a coil carrying a number of windings loaded with current and the magnetic field is generated when the armature is moved against a core. The armature acts on a pin (40), and the armature has a recess on front side when viewed in the movement direction. A structural portion is provided in the recess, and the pin is supported in the structural portion. An independent claim is included for pressure control valve.
