[origin: WO2009149722A1] The invention relates to a cleaning roller (10) for a floor cleaning machine, having a cylindrical roller body (16) which has bearing elements (24, 26) for rotatably mounting the cleaning roller (10) on the floor cleaning machine, with the casing surface (34) of said roller body being surrounded by a cleaning covering (18) which is connected to the roller body (16) in a rotationally fixed manner. In order to develop the cleaning roller in such a way that it has a structurally more simple design and can be produced with lower production costs, the invention proposes that the cleaning covering (18) be wound onto the roller body (16) in the manner of a belt and be non-releasably connected to the roller body (16).
