[origin: WO2009125004A2] The invention relates to the use of naturally occurring and modified mineral adsorbers for purifying the crude gas in biogas plants and disposal stations from undesired or harmful accompanying substances, e.g. hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. The mineral adsorbers are characterized in that smectite-rich clays/bentonites containing at least 50 percent of three-layer silicates capable of swelling and/or halloysites containing at least 50 percent of halloysite can be used as agglomerates or granulates.
