[origin: WO2010006964A1] The invention relates to a boring tool (1) which comprises a base body (2) having an interface to a drive, and a cutting insert holder (9) that can be fastened to the base body (2) and that has a seat for a cutting insert (12), the cutting insert holder (9) being radially displaceable between two positions in relation to the base body (2). The aim of the invention is to devise a boring tool that can be easily adapted to different boring diameters so that only few different boring tools have to be stocked to cover all conventional boring diameters. An extension arm (8) is fastened to the base body (2) and at the same time carries the cutting insert holder (9), the cutting insert holder (9) being fastenable on the extension arm (8) in at least two radially interspaced positions.
