Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009147235A1] The invention relates to a method of estimating the transverse grip of a pair of tyres intended for fitting onto a two-wheeled vehicle by comparative analysis with another pair of tyres. According to the invention, the tyres are mounted in pairs on the vehicle, the vehicle is made to move in a circle of set radius until reaching the maximum grip rate, and the average speed and/or angle of passage as the average curve of the vehicle in the steady state and/or the average lap time are determined.
