Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2301871A2] The method involves pressing a reel from a pressing roller into a winding bed (8) in an initial phase of a winding process. The reel is ejected from the winding bed after reaching a final- reference diameter with reduced winding speed under separation of a material web. A new material web top developed by the separation is wound on a new sleeve (12) inserted into the winding bed. The new sleeve is inserted into an area that is limited by two supporting rollers (6, 7), and the reel permits geometric relationships of the area and the sleeve. An independent claim is also included for a device for winding a material web on a sleeve in a winding bed.
