Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009153316A2] A shoe (10) comprises an upper (12) with a slit (14), a tongue (16) extending substantially along the slit (14), and a tongue holding unit (24), which is assigned to the tongue (16) and at least makes it more difficult for the tongue (16) to slip to the side in the closed state of the shoe (10).  According to the invention, each of the two edges (14b, 14c) of the slit (14) is assigned a holding element (18a1, 18b1), which can be brought into positive holding engagement with the tongue holding unit (24) and exerts a tensile force on the tongue holding unit (24) at least whenever it moves from a desired position in a direction away from the assigned edge (14b, 14c) in the closed state of the shoe (10).
