[origin: EP2147799A1] The method involves arranging a diffractive lens (55) on a path of a laser beam (52). The lens is arranged in upstream or downstream of a focusing device (56) in a manner to modify a shape of the laser beam and to print pixels (61) having specific shape on a printable medium (10). The lens is placed in upstream of the focusing device by driving the lens in rotation at a predetermined speed during printing in a manner to print the pixels.
