[origin: WO2009156135A1] In the production of cigarette packages (10) of the flip-top box type, folding tabs, particularly side tabs, are commonly equipped with glue for forming side walls of the package, and the exterior side tabs are subsequently folded. The gluing is carried out by means of both cold glue and hot glue. During certain operational phases only one type of glue is applied in order to ensure that the package is brought into an exact shape during varying hardening times, before the glue bonds have cured. The invention further ensures that the exposure time in a drying turret is sufficient in order to allow at least one of multiple glue types to cure.
