[origin: WO2010012013A1] The invention relates to a truck-mounted forklift (1), comprising a chassis (2) and a load lifting device (3) having a load application means (4), wherein during the loading and unloading of a load (5) the truck-mounted forklift (1) can be supported on a support surface (6) of a platform (7a), a truck bed (7b) or the like, and the truck-mounted forklift (1) has a lateral thrust release mechanism (8) for ensuring the lateral movement (Y) of the load application means (4) while maintaining the supporting action, wherein the lateral thrust release mechanism (8) comprises at least one contact part (9) that can be brought in contact with the support surface (6) and a support part (10) supporting said contact part (9), wherein the at least one contact part (9) and the support part (10) are disposed such that they can be moved to a limited or unlimited extent relative to each other in the lateral direction.
