[origin: WO2009149896A1] The invention relates to a profiled frame element for garage door frames, comprising a main section (12) and at least one groove (20, 22) that extends in the longitudinal direction of the profiled frame element and is used for suspending an elastic profiled seal (24). According to the invention, the main section (12) is shaped as a rectangular tube, and a fastening section (14) that extends at a right angle from the main section (12) as well as a covering section (16) which extends beyond the main section (12) are provided. The profiled frame element (10) is monolithic and can be used for garage door frames, for example.
