[origin: WO2010007024A1] The invention relates to a dual path fresh air system (5) for an internal combustion engine (1), especially of a motor vehicle, comprising a first path (6) for supplying first cylinders (2') of the internal combustion engine (1) with air, a second path (7) for supplying second cylinders (2') of the internal combustion engine (1) with air, a first exhaust gas recirculation inlet (17) which is connected to communicate with the first path (6) for introducing recirculated exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine (1) into the first path (6), a second exhaust gas recirculation inlet (18) which is connected to communicate with the second path (7) for introducing recirculated exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine (1) into the second path (7), a first valve member (20), mounted in the first path (6) upstream of the first exhaust gas recirculation inlet (17) for controlling a cross-section (21) of the first path (6) through which a fluid can flow and a second valve member (22) mounted in the second path (7) upstream of the second exhaust gas recirculation inlet (18) for controlling a cross-section (23) of the second path (7) through which a fluid can flow.
