[origin: WO2009152913A1] The present invention relates to a device for processing value documents, comprising a sensor device for testing the value documents and a transport device by which the value documents are transported past the sensor device along a transport direction. On a side opposite of the sensor device, a guide element is arranged for the passive guidance of the value document, said element being moved as soon as several value documents are transported past the sensor device at the same time. The guide element according to the invention allows for value documents to be reliably and exactly checked without a great effort.
