The vice has a threaded spindle including an external screw thread that corresponds to an internal screw thread, which is arranged on a back bracket (1). The internal screw thread is inserted in an adjustment nut and is carried out as a partial thread with a semicircular cross-section, where the adjustment nut is arranged in the back bracket. A long slot shaped feed through (65) is passed in the partial thread and is formed such that the threaded spindle is in and out engaged with the partial thread through adjusting the adjustment nut orthogonal to a spindle axis.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schraubstock, umfassend eine feststehende Hinterbacke (1) und eine Vorderbacke (2), die über eine Gewindespindel (3), deren eines, einen Schwengel (4) aufweisendes Ende in der Vorderbacke (2) drehbar gelagert ist, entlang einer Führung (5) relativ zur Hinterbacke (1) verschiebbar ist, wobei die Gewindespindel (3) ein Außengewinde (33) aufweist, das mit einem an der Hinterbacke (1) angeordneten Innengewinde (651) korrespondiert, wobei das Innengewinde (651) in einer in der Hinterbacke (1) angeordneten Verstellmutter (6) eingebracht ist und als Teilgewinde mit halbkreisförmigen Querschnitt ausgeführt ist, welches in eine langlochförmige Durchführung (65) übergeht, wobei die Durchführung (65) derart ausgebildet ist, dass die Spindel (3) durch Verschieben der Verstellmutter (6) orthogonal zur Spindelachse mit dem Teilgewinde (651) in bzw. außer Eingriff zu bringen ist.
