Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2305557A2] The method involves bringing the paddles (1a-1f) in a position perpendicular to the water surface (WL) by a positioning device directly by immersing into the water. The paddles are engaged adjacent to a position with an angle (A) larger or equal to 90 degrees with respect to the water surface in drive direction. The actual angle results from flow conditions at the paddles. An independent claim is also included for a paddle wheel with an electric motor.
