Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2305586A2] The device (1) has an expanding shaft (31) consisting of expansion sections (311, 312) provided in a guiding area (11), and two deflection shafts (41, 42) provided in another guiding area (12). The deflection shafts consist of deflecting sections (411, 412, 421, 422) so that a central part of sub-strips of a continuous film is guided between the expansion sections and accommodated by the deflecting sections. A removable and/or adjustable cutting unit divides the continuous film and is arranged between two input shafts (32, 51). An independent claim is also included for a method for changing an initial number to a number of guided sub-strips.
