Abstract (en)
A replacement of a drain water stem in a building having at least two floors takes place by expanding a first room (1), on each floor, provided with units generating drain water and located next to an external wall (2) of the building by forming a new room (8) outside the external wall and connecting the new room to the first room. A new drain water stem part (11) is arranged in the new room. Drain conduits from at least some of said units generating drain water are connected with the new drain water stem part. Drain water stem parts located under each other are interconnected for forming a new drain water stem.
