Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2306420A1] The method involves detecting an alertness parameter of a security guard (10) by a detection module. Movement of the security guard is detected by a movement- and/or acceleration sensor or gyroscope and an optical detector. Preset time is counted by a time counter module during absence of movement of the security guard, and a warning signal is delivered after acquitting the preset time. Another preset time is counted after the warning signal is delivered, and an alarm signal (AS) is transmitted to an alarm center (30) after acquitting the latter preset time. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a security guard.
