[origin: WO2010013221A2] The object of the invention is a method for cosmetic treatment of human keratinous fibers including the steps of: a) heating up in contact with or in the vicinity of a heating device, an outer surface of a piece of solid product, notably with hardness greater than or equal to 50g at 20°C so as to heat said piece in a localized way in order to only soften substantially said outer surface, and b) applying the thereby softened product on the fibers to be treated, notably the eyelashes.
