[origin: WO2010000431A1] The invention relates to a filling system for the sterile filling of bottles or similar containers (2) with a filling material, having at least one filling element (1) for discharging the liquid filling material into the respective container via a discharge opening (1.1), a sterile chamber (5) in which the discharge opening of the at least one filling element is disposed and in which the containers are accommodated at a container section comprising the respective container opening (2. 2), a tank (9) that forms a partial chamber (9.1) for receiving the liquid filling material and a gas chamber (9.2) positioned above said partial chamber, to said gas chamber a sterile gaseous and/or vaporous media can be applied, and comprising a device for the pressure equalization in the gas chamber of the tank, wherein the device for pressure equalization is formed by at least one pressure equalization connection (12, 17, 19; 14, 23, 24) between the gas chamber (9. 2) and the sterile chamber (5).
