Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010012693A1] The invention relates to a process for the treatment of a municipal and/or industrial wastewater with a view to combating the endocrine disrupting effect and/or the toxic effect and/or the genotoxic effect thereof and to remove the pathogenic microorganisms therefrom, comprising a step of oxidation via ozone and a step of disinfection via UV radiation with a wavelength between 185 and 350 nm, characterized in that said ozone oxidation step is carried out in a static mixer at a low dose of ozone below the ozone demand of said water, in that said ozone oxidation step is immediately followed by said UV-radiation disinfection step, and in that it comprises a step of controlling said dose of ozone used in said water during said oxidation step that includes the measurement of at least one parameter that is representative of the quality of the water, said measurement being carried out on the water to be treated and/or on the water that has undergone said ozone oxidation step and before its UV-radiation disinfection, said step of controlling said dose of ozone aiming to keep it between 0.05 and 0.5 milligrams of ozone per milligram of COD.
