[origin: WO2009145621A1] A wall element comprising two outer layers extending at least substantially parallel to each other with at least one intermediate layer present there between, characterised in that the intermediate layer is at least substantially made of a metal plate-shaped material, wherein a profile is formed in the plane of the plate-shaped material, and wherein the intermediate layer defines a compartment which contains an insulation material. In particular, opposing edges of the intermediate layer are flanged at least twice, said insulation material being contained between flanged parts of the edges of the intermediate layer.
