Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009143842A1] The roller shutter (1) comprises a top element (2) and a shutter body (5) including a plurality of slats. Each slat extends in a longitudinal direction between two end edges and has first and second side edges parallel to the longitudinal direction. The shutter body (5) is adapted to be wound up in and rolled out from said top element (2) by means of a driving device, in a direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction to a first screening position, in which the shutter body (5) defines a general screening plane, wherein at least some slats of said plurality of slats are tiltable about an axis parallel to said longitudinal direction between the first screening position to a second screening position, in which each tiltable slat forms an angle with said general screening plane. The roller shutter (1) is furthermore provided with two side rails (3, 4), and each side rail comprises at least one part that is movable relative to other parts of the side rail, and the end edges of each slat include guide means adapted to be guided in the at least one movable part of a respective side rail.
