Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2308442A1] The sick- or hospital bed has a base frame and four main wheels placed at the lower frame. An upper frame is provided with a head part and a foot part. A support element is provided at front end of the lower frame. The support element is brought into contact with a level surface by a weight load on the head part or the foot part initiating a tilt of the bed and so the tilt movement of the bed is limited to a tilt angle of maximum 3 degree, particularly maximum of 1.5 degree. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a sick- or hospital bed.
