[origin: EP2308646A1] The method involves producing a mixture of water and abrasive in an open mixing vessel (31) at normal pressure to provide an abrasive suspension (34). The abrasive suspension is brought to working pressure of specific mega Pascal, where the working pressure is above normal pressure. The abrasive suspension under the working pressure is fed from an output of a diaphragm pump (36) directly to a nozzle via a pressure line (39), and a water jet (45) with the abrasive is issued from the nozzle (44) for acting on a workpiece surface. An independent claim is also included for a water installation jet for processing a workpiece.
