Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2308660A2] The mold (1) has a mold frame (4), a mold insert (2) with a mold cavity (3) and an elastic padding (5) partially enclosing the mold insert. The padding is arranged in a frame-shaped space (16) between side sections (8a-8d) of the mold frame and the mold insert. The connection process involves the contraction of the padding and the side sections are moved towards each other for compensation of the contraction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a mold.
