Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010010261A1] The invention relates to a method for shaping multiple variants of a sheet metal part, and to a shaping tool and a device for implementing said method. The aforementioned device includes stamping tools and tools for additional operations, such as trimming, punching and flanging. The invention is characterised in that the device includes at least one shaping tool common to all the variants, said tool having a transverse shape that forms a gap (4) between the working surface thereof and the stamped preform (E), said transverse shape being located opposite the area of the preform (E) corresponding to the different end (1b) of the variant having the smallest length. The invention can be used in the area involved in the shaping of sheet metal parts, in particular for motor vehicles.
