Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009147689A1] A universal security lock (1) comprising at least one latch (2) and at least one bolt (3), which can perform a translational motion from a configuration in which they protrude from the front edge (5) of the lock to a configuration for accommodation within respective internal seats, and at least one retractable plunger (6), which is forced elastically to protrude from the front edge (5) of the lock (1). The plunger (6) is adapted to block the at least one latch (2) when arranged in the protruding configuration. The lock (1) comprises a bracket (7), which is coupled movably to the outer box-like body (8) of the lock (1) and is functionally associated with at least one of the bolts (3) and is connected mechanically to an end which faces, and lies proximate to, the portion (9) that is jointly connected to the plunger (6) and is adapted, even indirectly, to block the at least one latch (2). The end connected to the bracket (7), during the retraction of the bolt (3) associated therewith, is forced against the portion (9) for blocking the latch (2) to disengage the end from the latch (2) and consequently release the end connected to the bracket (7).
