[origin: EP2154428A1] The nozzle has a nozzle insert (1) arranged at an outer circumference of a retaining unit (4), where the insert and the unit are provided for forming a flow path (5) and a twisting chamber (10). The nozzle insert has an inlet opening (7a) and an end (7b), where the opening and the end are bent in a circular-shape for forming a discontinuous circuit, such that a fuel flowing into the chamber runs along a radial inward spiral movement (12). The depth of the retaining unit is reduced at the inlet opening of the insert, such that a flow speed of the fuel is changed. An independent claim is also included for a burner comprising a cylinder-shaped housing with a lance.
