The housing has housing areas (2,4) which are formed in hollow cylinder-shape. A connection region (6) is located between housing areas. The connection area has radial openings (14,16). The housing is formed as one-piece extruded part. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a dryer with a connection area: and (2) a method for manufacturing a housing for dryer used in a cooling media circuit.

Gehäuse eines Trockners für ein Kühlmedium in einem Kühlmedienkreislauf, insbesondere einer Klimaanlage eines Fahrzeugs, umfassend einen ersten 2 und einen zweiten 4 Gehäusebereich, welche jeweils hohlzylinderförmig ausgebildet sind, und einen Anschlussbereich 6, welcher zwischen dem ersten 2 und dem zweiten 4 Gehäusebereich angeordnet und hohlzylinderförmig ausgebildet ist, wobei der Anschlussbereich 6 zumindest eine radiale Öffnung 14; 16 aufweist, und wobei das Gehäuse als einteiliges Fließpressteil ausgebildet ist.
