Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010010035A1] The invention proposes a device (10) for fitting and extracting, in situ, the pivot pins for links (14, 16) of large-sized chains which comprise an alternation of external links (14) and of internal links (16), each internal link (16) comprising two parallel flanks (20, 22) pierced at their ends (24, 26), joined together at the said ends (24, 26) by a tubular spacer piece (28) and articulated at the said ends (24, 26) of the flanks (20, 22) of the internal links (16) to the pierced ends (30, 32) of the parallel flanks (34, 36) of two consecutive external links (14) by pivot pins (12), of the type which comprises at least one cylinder actuator (44) intended selectively to act upon a pivot pin (12) or a flank (34, 36) of an external link (14) in order to insert or to extract the said pin, characterized in that it comprises a pair of portable cylinder actuator supports (46) bearing two cylinder actuators (44) that pivot with synchronized movement, and a control device (48) common to the two cylinder actuators (44).
