[origin: WO2010020566A1] The invention relates to a method for assessing the plausibility of at least one measured value that is determined in a printing press and indicates a density of an ink applied to a stock (09) which is conveyed through the printing press, several different inks being applied to the stock (09). In said method, the inks applied to the stock (09) are simultaneously sensed by a sensing device (11) which comprises at least one image sensor (24) and supplies image data at the output thereof, said image data is evaluated by a control device (12) that is connected to the sensing device (11), each measured ink density value of several inks applied to the stock (09) is determined from the image data fed to the control device (12), and the plausibility of the at least one measured ink density value of at least one of the inks determined in said manner is assessed on the basis of the qualitative and/or quantitative relation thereof to the respective at least one measured ink density value of at least one of the other inks determined in the same manner.
