[origin: WO2010019102A1] The present invention relates to a dosing device (1) comprising a powder hopper (2) and a plate (11) with a surface (3), wherein said plate (11) is provided with at least one cavity (5) adapted for receiving a particulate material, and filling means (6) being movable along said surface (3) for moving particulate material into said at least one cavity (5), wherein said filling means (6) is adapted to exert a compressing force on said particulate material in a direction towards said surface (3) so that said particulate material is forced into said at least one cavity (5). The present invention also relates to a method for filling a cavity provided in a plate of a dosing device with a quantity of particulate material.
