[origin: EP2314356A2] The device has a fire protection flap (5) supportably pivotable around an axis by articulated fastening i.e. hinge (6), and held in an open position against a closing force by a holding element i.e. strand (7). The holding element is partially torn in case of fire, and the flap is made of a heat insulating material or a fire protection material. The flap has a projection at its surface that points towards a gap (4) i.e. horizontal gap, to be sealed between a camber (2) and a door-/door leaf (3). The strand is partially made of plastic, and is arranged on both sides of the gap.
