[origin: EP2314742A2] The device has a mechanical compacting element (13) including guide attachments (14) arranged such that a contact point (17) is obtained between the attachments and an exit lower roller (4u) during closing a stretcher (1). An imaginary connecting line (18) extends between a middle longitudinal axis (20) of an exit upper roller (4o) and a middle longitudinal axis (19) of the lower roller during attaching the attachment on the lower roller. The device is subjected with torque acting in a rotational direction of the upper roller during closing the stretcher and pivoted in an operating position.
