The circulating band with a counter press element (3) forms a contact zone (13) for a fibrous web, where the contact zone exhibits length of 100 mm in a running direction of the fibrous web. A long heating section (11) with low pressure and a short impulse section (12) with high pressure are formed along the length of the contact zone, where the low pressure of the heating section lies below 2 mega Pascal.
