[origin: WO2010022718A1] The invention proposes a ball joint for a motor vehicle, having a housing (1) and having a ball pin (2), the joint ball (3) of which is mounted in a rotatable and pivotable manner in a bearing shell (6). According to the invention, the bearing shell (6) has a sheet-metal strip which is provided with recesses and which is shaped so as to form the bearing shell. The invention also describes a method for producing a component of a bearing shell of a ball joint of said type.
