Abstract (en)
The shell has an armor provided with parts that are impregnated in epoxy type resin matrix (R) having additive i.e. Nanostrength(RTM: acrylic block copolymer based additive), to enhance mechanical resistance of the shell. The parts correspond to most delicate areas of a human head. Other parts of the armor are impregnated in resin matrix that does not have additive. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing a helmet shell.

Le domaine général de l'invention est celui des coques de casque en matériau composite comprenant au moins une « armure » en tissus imprégnée d'une matrice en résine. Certaines parties de l' « armure » sont imprégnées d'une matrice en résine comportant un adjuvant apte à renforcer la résistance mécanique de la coque, lesdites parties correspondant aux zones les plus fragiles d'une tête humaine comme le haut de la tête ou les oreilles. Préférentiellement, la résine est de type époxy et l'adjuvant est à base de copolymères à blocs acryliques. Plus précisément l'adjuvant est de la marque « Nanostrength® »
